Hello,
Like many others I had a problem on boot of my PC which is PGP Encrypted. The machine said to run FIXMBR to resolve, which got me into this mess.
The hard drive is no longer recognizeable by windows. Since this was my work machine and I needed it up and running, I had to send in my Harddrive and get a new one. Before I sent it in, I loaded Ubuntu and was able to see it, I made a DDRescue clone of the drive and another one to play with on a large backup drive.
I now have a .raw copy of my hard-drive and I can mount it using OSFMount, which now shows the .raw file as drive J on my PC. But when I go into Disk management it doesn't mount it as a Disk #. When I click on that .raw drive it wants me to format it.
I just want to be able to run the pgpwde --recover on this copy. I want to pull off my files from this copy, but I can't seem to figure out how to get there. Any help appreciated.
Jami
